What inspired you to set up the Pak Family Fund?

As a child, my father told me that the Paks are people who are not world-wise or skilled in socialising. He chose to become a doctor, an honest trade in which he relied mainly on his skills and knowledge – and advised me to do the same. In my case, I was blessed to have a father who knew me well, and that God has guided me to such a place of plenty.

All through my life, God has led me and my family. His grace has been apparent and evident. Being grateful for His mercy, we also understand that this love should be shared. In today’s harsh world, there are many worthwhile causes and many organisations that champion them. I have great admiration for the commitment and passion of those organisations in supporting and assisting people in need.

The ACCF is one such organisation. I was there myself when Peter and many old friends started ACCF. It was founded with an honest and truthful intent. Under the leadership of Peter and others, the organisation has stayed true to its purpose – not only of helping people in need but also ensuring the donations are managed safely and utilised well.

So when Peter spoke to me about the idea of the Legacy Fund, my family and I decided to support the initiative in the hopes of enabling some long-term benefits to people in need.

The amount is significant to a humble general practitioner, but God’s blessings have equipped me to give to others. It is a great wish and prayer of mine that both the Pak family and our Legacy Fund can continue to share our blessings with people around us.

God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need you will abound in every good work.
