Queeny has been a Trustee of Australia Chinese Charity Foundation (ACCF) since 2018 and a consistent donor to various fundraising events. She wholeheartedly believes in the vision and values of ACCF and hopes the great work of various recipient charity organisations can continue to prosper and assist all those in need.

Queeny is passionate about volunteering and helping others in the community. She believes that women, besides looking after the family and their own career, could also contribute to the community and help the disadvantaged and those in need.

For other charity work, Queeny joined the Way In Network in 1996 as a life member, currently serving as a Management Committee member. She is a Patron of CanRevive Inc since 2017. She has been a volunteer primary teacher approved by the Department of Education NSW since 2018. She is also a regular donor to many other charity organizations for more than 25 years.

She migrated from Hong Kong to Australia more than 40 years ago and graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Science. At University, she devoted her spare time to serve the Union of Chinese Students, at which she was both a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Publicity Subcommittee.

After university, she worked in IT system development in a leading insurance company as a Senior System Analyst and received an Outstanding Achievement Award. She then became a full-time mother and later returned to work as a medical practice manager.
