The Australian Chinese Charity Foundation Inc (ACCF) was formed in 1990 as a broad based charity organisation to help the Australian community at large. It is supported by the generosity of patrons, trustees and a corporate trustee; life members and ordinary members; the dedication of a Management Committee and; a Council Board (since 2009) – all voluntary members who have worked consistently to achieve ACCF’s aims and objectives and to extend ACCF’s reach to many other charitable organisations.
ACCF AND NSW CHINESE COMMUNITY NEW YEAR CELEBRATION DINNER 2010
The Dinner was held at the Marigold Restaurant to welcome the Year of the Tiger. Originally,ACCF intended that the Dinner be a fun night without any fundraising activities. However, with news of the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti, ACCF decided to raise funds. ACCF committed $20,000 to kickstart the fundraising, Mr Lin Chiming donated $20,000 and together with the auction and raffles on the night, a cheque of $65,790 was presented to World Vision. We were pleased to welcome the Rev Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision, to give the keynote speech.
