The Australian Chinese Charity Foundation Inc (ACCF) was formed in 1990 as a broad based charity organisation to help the Australian community at large. It is supported by the generosity of patrons, trustees and a corporate trustee; life members and ordinary members; the dedication of a Management Committee and; a Council Board (since 2009) – all voluntary members who have worked consistently to achieve ACCF’s aims and objectives and to extend ACCF’s reach to many other charitable organisations.
CONCERT IN AID OF CANCER RESEARCH 1999
ACCF arranged a classical concert, “Music Cares”, in aid of cancer research at the Sydney Town hallon 29 October 1999. This attracted an audience of 1000 people. This was a merging of top quality multicultural entertainment with ACCF’s support of two vitally important organisations in their fight against cancer: the NSW Cancer Council and the Australian Teenage Cancer Patients’’ Society (Can Teen). “Music Cares” featured five very talented female musicians and vocalists. Critics Circle and Mo Award Winner Suzanne Johnstone led the cast.
